It is true,
what the cliché says. Even though you cannot see the world, and even though you
know, what it looks like, you still feel its colours. I sat outside although my
eyes where closed, it still felt like, I could se the sun. The backside of ones
eyelids where lighter when sitting outside than being inside. All of your other
sense is improved. I know what my garden looks like, but still I felt like, it
was the first time I saw it. Even though my eyes couldn’t see, I could still
experience the small thins going on beside me. I could hear the wind, birds and
even the stress from the highway, which I haven’t noticed before.
But even though I couldn’t see for an hour and I felt my surroundings differently, I have no rights to say, how it feels to be blind. I still know, how my family looks like, and most important, I don’t just know how the ocean or the grass looks like, I can see it with my own eyes.
